Visit Cameroon famous February 11 next, the 60ᵉ edition of the Fête de la Jeunesse under the theme:
«Youth at the heart of great hopes for a united, stable and prosperous Cameroon».».
Since 1966, this symbolic date has mobilized the country's ten regions around a national holiday dedicated to Cameroon's youth. Each year, young people are honored through educational, cultural and civic activities.

So, From Yaoundé to Bertoua, every locality is gearing up for the sixtieth anniversary of this celebration. To this end, the government is organizing a number of meetings around various panels. These discussions will focus on education, sport, culture and leisure, under the coordination of the Ministry of Youth and Physical Education (MINJEC).

Leisure activities are also an important part of the celebrations. Pupils, accompanied by their supervisors, are busy organizing school fairs. During these festive moments, they take part in playbacks, at the’election of Miss and Master, to sketches, and many other recreational activities.

This 60ᵉ edition takes on a historic and symbolic character. For the first time, the official launch of the festivities took place in the borough of Gari-Gombo, in the Eastern region. This year's edition also boasts a number of innovative initiatives, including the « Youth Morning ».

These meetings combine training workshops, cultural events and sports activities, to strengthen education and the citizen participation for young people. In the same spirit, the government handed over professional and agricultural equipment, such as tricycles, chainsaws and cassava grinders.
Through these actions, the State reaffirms its commitment to the autonomy and socio-economic integration of young Cameroonians.

This sixtieth anniversary is an edition that educates, empowers and values youth.
