The operation was supervised by the Minister of Water and Energy,<strong> Gaston Eloundou Essomba.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new infrastructure now injects an additional 10,000 m\u00b3 of water per day into the network, for the benefit of the Mendong, Simbock, Damase, Nsimeyong and Ebom districts, which are experiencing rapid population growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit began at Simbock, at the Carrefour Jouvence, where the technical teams presented the new facilities. Welcomed by the General Manager of <strong>CAMWATER<\/strong>, In the presence of Mr. Blaise Moussa and the municipal authorities, the member of the government followed the technical demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On site, the engineers checked a number of parameters, including water pressure, the operation of the newly laid DN400 pipes and the network's technical meshing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-selon-les-responsables-techniques-ces-travaux-visent-a-stabiliser-durablement-la-pression-et-a-securiser-l-approvisionnement-dans-la-zone-sud-ouest-de-la-capitale\">According to the technical managers, the aim of this work is to permanently stabilize pressure and secure supply in the south-western part of the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-amelioration-perceptible-pour-les-populations\"><strong>A perceptible improvement for the local population<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-longtemps-confrontees-aux-baisses-de-pression-et-aux-rationnements-prolonges-les-populations-constatent-aujourd-hui-une-amelioration-notable\">After years of pressure drops and prolonged rationing, people are now seeing a marked improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abWater is flowing regularly. The more regular availability of drinking water means that residents can now go about their daily lives with greater peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-etape-strategique-dans-la-modernisation-du-reseau\"><strong>A strategic step in the modernization of the network<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-le-renforcement-du-reseau-d-etoug-ebe-s-inscrit-dans-la-continuite-du-programme-d-alimentation-en-eau-potable-de-yaounde-et-ses-environs-paepys-ce-programme-vise-a-moderniser-et-a-etendre-les-infrastructures-hydrauliques-de-la-capitale\">The reinforcement of the Etoug-Eb\u00e9 network is part of the ongoing Yaound\u00e9 and surrounding area drinking water supply program (PAEPYS). This program aims to modernize and extend the capital's water infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is to gradually reduce rationing and keep pace with urban growth in Yaound\u00e9, where demand for water is constantly increasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>CAMWATER<\/strong>, This commissioning represents a strategic step towards securing the long-term supply of drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these additional 10,000 m\u00b3 per day, Yaound\u00e9 6 has taken an important step towards a more regular and reliable supply.
